I am very excited to have partnered with Janet Clarke Hall on the new Mural for the front of the college. As an alumna and current tutor, it is my honour to work with the history of the college and celebrate our shared memories.

From Eleanor Spencer-Regan, Principal, Janet Clarke Hall:
"Following an order from the City of Melbourne, in May we were obliged to partially demolish the brick wall which had stood in front of the College for nigh on seventy years. The temporary fencing is providing privacy and security whilst we work with architects and Heritage Victoria to finalize our plans for a new brick pillar and palisade fence which will be a fitting frontage for a college of Janet Clarke Hall’s historical significance in the heritage suburb of Parkville.

In the meantime, we are delighted to be partnering with JCH alumna and professional artist and curator, Erin Mathews (‘12) to create a 53-metre-long artwork to decorate this temporary fence. This piece will celebrate the rich and storied history of our College and the many and varied students who have called it home over the years."
